How does it work?

Hypnosis is applied through a wonderful process of relaxation and visualisation. This allows you to shift old rigid thought patterns whilst building and strengthening new neural pathways in the brain. This will enable you to find solutions and focus on the more positive aspects of life.

You will be guided into a wonderful state of relaxation.

You can feel reassured that the mind will only accept what it agrees with. Therefore, you cannot be influenced without your own permission, and you will always remain in full control.

What is the TRANCE state?

Hypnosis is a very normal and natural method we refer to as “Trance”. It is a deep state of concentration and something we experience every day.

“Have you ever zoned out while watching TV, or driven home and cannot remember the journey?”

Our subconscious minds are in control, which means we respond automatically, so we can simultaneously drive along daydreaming of other things but still drive the car safely.

As the subconscious mind operates below our level of conscious awareness, we can find ourselves carrying out self-sabotaging behaviours and indulging in negative habits that are detrimental to our health.

SFH recognises the power of the subconscious and utilises hypnosis to communicate directly with it. This means we can start to address the root causes, remove negative emotional states and reprogram the subconscious with a new improved version.

Our subconscious plays a crucial role influencing our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It acts as a reservoir for our past traumas, negative experiences, and unprocessed emotions. The more we carry out the negative behaviours the stronger they become imprinted, until the response just becomes automatic.

Get to know me

My wish is that my honesty may give you the confidence to reach out and the reassurance that we all struggle, but can overcome any obstacles with a little support.

Maybe, you resonate with my experience and find some hope within. Be kind and patient with yourself, you are doing your best and that is wholeheartedly enough.

I am a happy, optimistic person who became a Solution-focused hypnotherapist due to my passion for mental health and helping others. I understand how hard it is to ask for help when you are struggling to cope or are in the midst of a crisis. I empathise deeply with those who seek support, as I have experienced my own struggles with depression and anxiety.

I endured bullying from an early age, which dramatically affected my self-esteem and left lasting wounds. These experiences influenced my inner voice, leading to self-criticism and insecurities. Others had convinced me at such an immature age of my unworthiness, which then became an internal deep-rooted belief I held about myself. I judged and cruelly criticised myself just like others had done to me, reinforcing those beliefs. As past events are stored in our subconscious mind, we are not aware of why we are thinking and feeling a certain way and tend to carry out destructive self-sabotaging behaviours.

I spent years trying to “fit in,” being punished for exhibiting my individual personality and just being me. I started off a happy confident little girl, but years of, phony friends, cruel treatment, and rejection left me with deep unhealed wounds that began to affect me later in life. I became disconnected and struggled to express myself properly. We understand childhood is a crucial time where our subconscious mind is open and impressionable. As our minds are developing, we can be easily influenced by others as we absorb and interpret everything within our environment and surroundings.

As I grew up, I hid and repressed my emotions, stopped expressing my true feelings and ended up with a huge amount of resentment towards others because I was not vocalising how I genuinely felt. After years of high-pressure work in the veterinary industry, combined with personal challenges, I reached a breaking point. I always coped quite well and almost thrived in that setting. However, over time, after experiencing life’s difficulties, I found myself no longer able to cope, not even with the smallest of stresses. I became overwhelmed and lost myself in a cycle of negative thinking and emotions.

Desperate for help, I discovered hypnotherapy and after one session for the first time in a while, felt hopeful. I listened to a hypnosis recording for a week and noticed an unbelievably positive shift. Through regular sessions, I gained unwavering self-belief and confidence in myself and my abilities. My self-confidence grew so much that I started making the changes that depression and anxiety had held me back from. I learnt how to trust myself again and gained a whole new perspective in all areas of my life. With newfound knowledge and tools, I overcame every obstacle and challenge that I faced. The result I had in such a brief period was beyond what I believed possible, considering how I felt just months before. I realised that I did have the resources within me to reach my goals and beyond.

During recovery as I began to feel better, I recognised quickly; just how prevalent mental health issues are. I thought about what I had been through and felt an overwhelming injustice for everyone continuing to fight their own unforgiving battle. I started to feel empowered and compelled to help others find freedom within themselves and reach their true potential.
